Flea Market

Ocala, Florida

Weather: low 64 degrees, high 85 degrees, clear skies

Today's weather was glorious, just perfect for getting out and doing something.
FLASH - Carolyn was able to get out with me!

The first thing on my agenda was to go to a few yard sales to see if I could find some puzzles for Carolyn's mother. Today's search was much more productive, as there were yard sales galore. Carolyn stayed at home for that little part of the day's excursion, as she hadn't finished her morning coffee and reading routine. As soon as I started looking, I found yard sales at every turn, some that were good, others that were a waste of time. After about one hour's time of looking, I had found eight puzzles for Doris for a total cost of $3.00. Not bad.

By the time I got back home and rested a little from mt early morning walk and yard sale search, Carolyn was ready to go to the flea market located on the northwest side of Ocala. She felt better than the last two days, and was itching to get out.

The flea market was not busy at all, but had enough vendors that we were able to find a couple of good values in books and fresh vegetables. By the time we had walked through the whole thing, Carolyn was ready to leave, since she didn't want to over stimulate her vertigo. On the way home, we stopped at Arby's and had some roast beef sandwiches, which happen to be fairly low in sodium. By the time we got home, it was time for some rest and meditation.

We watched a little college football and the Ryder Cup broadcast, and then went to see Carolyn's mother and take her the puzzles that I picked up this morning. She was tickled to get the puzzles, and said she was going to be busy for awhile. As I've said before, it doesn't take much to please Doris.

Since our supper last night of chicken and pasta was so good, Carolyn added a little extra to the leftovers and that's what we had for supper.

We have been seeing some beautiful trees blooming while here in Ocala. This picture is of a Chinese Golden Rain Tree. Hawaii considers the tree to be a pest. Check this out.

I'm watching the football game between Florida and Alabama, and Alabama is leading at halftime. It's looking like a bad night for Florida.

More later, be safe.
