Great Weather

Ocala, Florida

Weather: low 62 degrees, high 83 degrees, clear skies

Today's weather was even better than yesterday, if that's possible. Cooler temperatures, lower humidity, clear skies. It doesn't get much better.

After a lazy morning enjoying the cool air coming in the windows, we decided to get out and take a ride to the southwest part of Ocala. This area includes horse farms, beautiful subdivisions with large homes, horses, tree lined roads with tree tunnels, rolling countryside.... Then, there's the sand hills covered with oaks and sand pines that have a beauty of their own. Do you get the idea that we appreciate the physical beauty of Marion County?

About half way through our excursion, we stopped at the Sonny's Bar-b-que restaurant located at the intersection of I-75 and county road 484. They were pushing their dry rub baby back ribs today, so we tried them for lunch. Ummm, boy, they were good! We had enough left for supper, so it was double enjoyment.

After lunch and another short ride, both of us were ready for a little meditation. Good food will do that do that to you. So, it was back home, where we stayed the rest of the day.

I mentioned in last night's post that it didn't look good for Florida against Alabama in college football. Well, I may have understated tings a bit, as Alabama dominated Florida in winning, 31 to 6. This is looking more and more like a rebuilding year for Florida, even though this is only the first game they have lost.

More later, be safe.
