Good News From The Doctor

Coker, Alabama

Weather: low 72 degrees, high 91 degrees, mostly clear until the late afternoon when it was mostly cloudy

I took Carolyn to a doctor today to check on a problem she has been having with the calf of her left leg. She has been having problems with some swelling and three knots on the back side of her left calf. The doctor said he thought it was one of two things: a staph infection or a blood clot. He sent her to the Northport Medical Center to have a sonogram performed of the affected area, and they found it was not a blood clot, which was good news. It appears that the problems are probably caused by insect bites which have become infected. She was prescribed an antibiotic to take for a week, and then go back to see what progress has been made.

While Carolyn was at the doctor's office, I went to the library in Tuscaloosa to return some books and check out more. She had the sonogram done this afternoon, but before having that done, we stopped at the Salvation Army to drop off the stuff from the yard sale that Terri didn't want. After returning home, I went out to the house and finished the mowing. Then back home for supper. It has been another busy day, but we are hopeful that the problem with Carolyn's leg has been found.

This morning I received a call from my sister Judy, who lives in Athens with her husband Roger. Judy told me that my younger sister Janie and her husband Wayne were in Athens visiting for a couple of days. We are going up to see everyone tomorrow.

Hey, that means no work tomorrow! Is the sky going to fall?

More later, be safe.
