Wax On, Wax Off

Coker, Alabama

Weather: low 72 degrees, high 93 degrees, partly cloudy

It looks as though Hurricane Gustav is taking a more westerly course, which should take it into southwestern Louisiana and southeastern Texas. That should be good news for New Orleans, but not for towns in the path of the storm. Hurricane Hanna is projected to hit Florida sometime next week, so we'll wait a little longer before we make firm plans to go to Florida to see family.

We went out to check the house this afternoon, and while there we found more pictures that we'll be scanning for Terri. At least it keeps us off the street.

Late this afternoon, I started putting wax on the outside of the RV. I haven't done this in about six months, so it is badly needed. About 1/3 of the waxing was done today, and I'll try to do more tomorrow. Then I need to check the roof, wax the truck, mow the yard at the house, get the RV ready to travel.......

While we're in Florida, I'm looking forward to some of my sister Janie's fried chicken, potato salad, peas, and homemade biscuits. Ummmmm!! She usually fixes that when we visit, and it's just what I like. Especially those homemade biscuits.

It was a quiet day, just what the doctor ordered.

More later, be safe.
