Lunch At Chili's

Coker, Alabama

Weather: low 29 degrees, high 64 degrees, clear skies

Wow! Two days of sun in a row! I love it!

The nice weather seems to have energized and inspired us. I know it has made us more upbeat. We felt so good about the weather that we decided to invite Terri to go to lunch with us at Chili's. That restaurant is one of Carolyn's favorites, and we had never been to the one in Tuscaloosa. Terri was busy and couldn't go, but we went anyway and had a good meal. I had a great hamburger with jalapenos, bacon, and cheese. Did I ever say that we really like jalapeno peppers? The bacon was thick cut strips that was so good. Carolyn had a bacon cheeseburger, and she said it was also good.

After lunch, we took Terri a hamburger and visited for a few minutes. We left shortly because she was working on a project that she needed to get finished. When we got home, we meant to do some work going through our living room cabinets, but the good lunch put us in the mood for some meditation. I guess we'll do the cabinets tomorrow, if something else doesn't come up.

After the meditation, I decided to do some work in the basement. It needs work occasionally, just like the inside of the RV does. Going through everything occasionally also refreshes our memories of what we are carrying with us. For instance, I found the Dremel tool set, which was used the last time about eight months ago. That's the type of thing that we will need if we get rid of it. Remember the old saying "You never need something until you get rid of it"?

The last thing I did for the day was to cut the ends off the satellite dish cable and put new connectors on it. We have had too many problems with losing the signal recently, and it has always been traced to a specific place in the cable. Maybe the repairs will fix the problem.

More later, be safe.
