Visit To Dentist

Bay City, Texas

Weather: low 38 degrees, high 55 degrees, clear to mostly cloudy skies, winds 15-25 mph

The wind blew hard all night, and it continued today. Combine that with a temperature of 38 degrees, and I was glad that we had appointments with our dentist for our six month checkups at 0815 hours. That meant I waited until about noon to take my daily walk, after the weather had warmed up a little. The coat and gloves still felt good.

On our way out of the RV park where we are staying, we saw a herd of about 20 deer. They showed no fear of us at all. I have noticed that the deer outside the park tend to shy away from humans.

We got good reports from the dentist, except for a little thing that Carolyn needs to have taken care of. Since we expect to be back here in a couple of months, the dentist said that would be soon enough to fix the little problem.

Carolyn's back was a little better today, but she stayed home again and used the heating pad. The only time she was out was to go to the dentist. The cold weather is not good for a sore back. We hope it continues to feel better so we can do some of the things we want to while here.

When we first arrived here, my brother Terrell and his wife Kathy were out of town. They got back today, so I went to see them in the afternoon. It was great to sit and talk with them about what's been going on. If Carolyn's doing well enough tomorrow, we plan to meet for lunch. Terrell said he has a spare golf bag I can use while here, so maybe we can get a round or two in before we leave.

More later, be safe.
